It’s a multiple-choice questionnaire presenting various hypothetical scenarios where you choose your best-suited reaction to the situation in question. While how common or how rare a particular personality type is can keep changing, for the most part, it is the INFJ personality type that has been consistently proving to be the rarest so far, according to the surveys and studies conducted.
That brings us to the question, what is the INFJ personality type, and why is it rare?
The four core character traits of an INFJ personality type are intuitive, introverted, feeling, and judging. They are extremely reserved people with an exceptionally intuitive nature. They see possibilities that others would easily miss out on. They are all about the big picture and securing a powerful vision for the future but don’t care much about day-to-day details. They are very caring, loving individuals who are also loyal in their friendships and relationships. INFJ makes strong empathetic leaders or bosses who follow their heart over logic.
Former first lady Eleanor Roosevelt was amongst famous people with INFJ personality type. Former president Jimmy Carter and Indian activist Mohandas Gandhi were also part of this rare personality type clan.
What makes this personality rare is the fact that only 1.5% of the people taking the Myers-Briggs personality test turn out to fall under the INFJ category. Their behavioral patterns are also quite complex as they are a reserved bunch of people; however, they desire to be a part of an active social circle.

Strengths
INFJs have the knack for looking at a situation from various angles and the foresight to predict possible outcomes. This is a great attribute to help them survive a failure at work or in relationships.

They are extremely passionate as well as altruistic. An INFJ will never try to gain success by stepping foot on someone else, however, they will also never settle anything lesser than the best.
Weaknesses
They are quite sensitive to criticism and, in all probability, might react strongly if criticized their ideologies or beliefs.
INFJs tend to fixate on perfectionism, which can become a problem, leading to unhappiness and burnout. To be honest, it is impossible to be completely satisfied with every situation in life in the ideal world. They find it hard to cope with this fact.
