The logistician type or ISTJ is one of the most intelligent and diligent personality types drawn out by the Myers Briggs personality test. The four core personality traits of an ISTJ are introverted, Sensing, thinking and judging. This is considered the 3rd most common personality type.<\/p>\n

This particular personality type makes some of the greatest friends and colleagues. They do not come to conclusions based on hearsay and like to make decisions based on their research and analysis of people or situations. They are intolerant of indecisiveness and like to enjoy an organization where their judgment is not questioned with illogical reasoning.<\/p>\n

One of the most famous actors, Denzel Washington, is an excellent example of an ISTJ personality type<\/a>. He is reserved, exceptionally organized, known to turn down an obligation he signed up for rarely.<\/p>\n

Strengths:<\/h2>\n

Patience\/Perseverance<\/strong>: An ISTJ is known for their high level of perseverance and ability to bounce back from a setback without letting it dim its light! This quality really sets them apart from their colleagues.<\/p>\n

Honesty<\/strong>: Honesty is their favourite policy! They cannot cope with manipulation or lies and like being straightforward, as they would be with everyone around them as well.<\/p>\n

Detail-oriented<\/strong>: ISTJ has a keen eye for detail. They rely their decision making on facts, numbers and verified data, rather than believing in word of mouth. They quickly notice minor errors or gaps that could lead to a major fiasco.<\/p>\n

Loyalty<\/strong>: A logistician will show unwavering loyalty towards those they are committed to, whether work or personal relationships.<\/p>\n

Jack-of-all-trades<\/strong>: Trust an ISTJ to hold a repository of knowledge, and this helps them emerge victorious from various sticky situations, especially at work.<\/p>\n

Weaknesses:<\/h2>\n

Stubborn<\/strong>: The trait that makes an ISTJ firmly believe in facts is the trait that makes them extremely stubborn. They love to go by the book, and sometimes it is extremely difficult to make them realize that they cannot always be right!<\/p>\n

Resistance to change<\/strong>: A logistician’s stubborn behaviour also makes them resist change to an extent. In their world, things are black or white. Also, unless they are sure of a new way of approaching a problem, they will not go ahead with it, creating chaos within the team and obstacles for colleagues.<\/p>\n

Insensitive<\/strong>: While an ISTJ personality type may not be someone who is essentially insensitive, however, their straightforward approach and honesty do make them come across as an insensitive type. They do take others’ emotions into account, but they will not hold bad from being direct and telling the truth as it is.<\/p>\n

Judgmental<\/strong>: They can be judgmental and disapprove of anyone questioning their ideologies or decisions.<\/p>\n

Blaming themselves<\/strong>: They have a bad habit of unnecessarily taking the load of all the work on themselves, and in case things go south, they go ahead and blame themselves for everything that went wrong!<\/p>\n
