Generative artificial intelligence is igniting entrepreneurial ambition among university students in China.

That’s according to a new study published in Nature on July 5, 2025. Surveying 346 students, the research shows that Generative AI-Supported Entrepreneurship Education (GAISEE) is revolutionizing how students learn, boosting their confidence and drive to launch their own startups.

Generative AI, which can whip up everything from text to lifelike business simulations, can breathe fresh life into entrepreneurial education. By tailoring lessons to individual needs, mimicking real-world business challenges, and offering instant feedback, GAISEE empowers students to believe in their entrepreneurial potential. 

The study found that students using GAISEE saw their confidence—known as entrepreneurial self-efficacy—soar by 52%, while their intent to start businesses jumped by 24%.

The university setting plays a starring role, too. Campuses offering robust support in the form of mentorship, funding, and resources, supercharge AI’s impact, making students even more eager to chase entrepreneurial dreams. 

This is especially significant in China, where cultural pressures often nudge students toward safe, traditional careers rather than risky ventures. With China pouring resources into AI and innovation, GAISEE could spark a wave of bold, new entrepreneurs.

As the global AI-in-education market races toward a projected $32 billion by 2030, this study showcases AI’s power to reshape learning—something we’ve known at Genius Group for a long while.
